Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. O'Dell later became an anchor for morning news at WCBD TV and acted as an investigative reporter. O'Dell's reports in Charleston concerning the lack of leniency by police regarding DUI cases prompted a State Law Enforcement Division to examine. This led to states authorities enforcing more rigorous guidelines in these cases. Ms. O'Dell was honored by The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. Following her stint at Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative reporter. Then she was hired by Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. O'Dell in addition to being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She's covered events such including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of pre-show arrivals for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. She also hosts the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
